Product Description
RA 6IN Protractor Degrees/Mils/Metres/Yards
The RA 6-Inch DMMY Protractor is the most versatile land navigation protractor in the MTT range — graduated in both degrees and mils, with coordinate scale plotters in both metres and yards, for 1:25,000, 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 military topographic maps. Built for patrol leaders, cadets, instructors and joint-exercise personnel who need one tool that works across every major military mapping system. What it does: plots grid azimuths in degrees or mils and measures distances on UK (Ordnance Survey), Canadian (NTS), Australian (Geoscience), US (USGS) and NATO military topo maps. One protractor replaces the three or four single-system protractors a joint-exercise planner might otherwise carry. Why the semi-circular six-inch format: sits flat on a map edge with a clean zero reference at the straight side, plots fast under time pressure, and stores easily in a map case. Preferred by land nav instructors and patrol leaders over round or rectangular formats for infantry field work. Printed on 1.5mm PETG: UV-cured graphics on the reverse give zero parallax error — essential for precise mils and degrees plotting. Waterproof, UV stable, solvent-resistant, flexible. Ideal uses: UK MOD, Canadian Army, Australian Army, US Army and NATO joint land navigation; RMC and ADFA; Australian Army Cadets; orienteering; SAR; stalking and hunting. shipped from Buderim QLD, manufactured in Australia.
