The VR-S Passive Visual Range Finder Card is the compact, pocket-friendly range card in the MTT range — a 6 by 4 inch passive analogue rangefinder that estimates distance by comparing target size against calibrated silhouettes for person, 4WD, lorry, tank and cow. Designed for the soldier, stalker or Mountain Rescue volunteer who wants a range card that always works and actually lives in the kit. What it does: hold the card at eye-extension, align the target with the matching silhouette, read the calibrated range. No batteries, no electronics, no laser signature — just geometry and a clear card. Why passive matters: electronic rangefinders fail when batteries die, lenses fog or extreme cold shuts the circuit down. A passive range card never fails. In military observation training, Mountain Rescue and survival contexts it is also silent — no laser emission for counter-optical detection systems to catch.
